Mark Schmidt – Philosophy
The good thing about philosophy is there is no right or wrong and it is always fluid. This is my starting point in my philosophy as a Chaplain.

We are ready to serve and are going where The Holy Spirit leads, to care, comfort, and bring hope to those in need. Modeling the love, joy, peace, goodness, patience, kindness, gentleness and self-control.
In the ministry I currently am in we are trying to reach those that nobody else wants and that are not comfortable being in a church
Philosophy is a concept that gives the opportunity to think about the whys and the wherefores that are active in our lives. It comes from the Greek word, philisophia, meaning the love of wisdom.
Currently, God is preparing us for this and using us both to minister to the lost who are largely involved with Conventions (think Comic-con, Anime-con, etc), and those who are involved in “alternative sexuality” lifestyles.
As a friend of mine once told me, “feed everyone out of the same spoon”. What he meant by that is to treat all people equally.
I have been in a place of active motorcycle ministry for approximately 17 years. This experience has been a combination of riding with my husband when he was a member of a Christian MC and also as a member of Broken Chains Biker Church.
We are reaching out to the whole world to care, comfort, and bring hope to those in need regardless of the segment of chaplaincy.
I believe that my own self-awareness and boundaries must always stay within my Christian beliefs.
