There Are Reasons

To Each His Own

I was asked by the local President of the MC I am in to consider it. I prayed, started looking into it, and then found BBI. – Mark Hertel, BBI Chaplain

I asked to meet the Chaplain and they said, “You’re it!” – Andy Tulenko, BBI Chaplain

Many people become chaplains because they believe that God has called them to that ministry. That’s good, but being a chaplain is something any Christian can do if they have the desire.

When I read about what Chaplains do, I found I do a lot of these things naturally anyway. So…I chose to make it official to give myself some credibility and accountability. It’s helped me to go deeper in my walk. – Stacey McKeown, BBI Chaplain

So why should you become a certified chaplain?

Things to Consider

1. Many situations and people require some kind of credentials. In the eyes of others being certified gives you credibility.
2. Being a certified chaplain opens doors for you to minister. Here’s a testimony from one of our chaplains.

My BBI Chaplain training has already opened doors for me. I just want to thank the institute and I pray it continues to grow. I’m from Butler Alabama and we have weather that lets us continue to ride on through the winter so I hope to meet some of you on the road. I love meeting other bikers praying with them and blessing bikes. Godspeed – Ronald Long, BBI chaplain

3. Being a chaplain gives you a ministry without walls. Chaplains are not limited to a building or even a specific location. Yes, there are some exceptions, but, for the most part, you’re not limited to a building.

But the most important reason is…

You Are Needed

You are needed. It’s as simple as that.

One person can make a difference. One person can have an impact on a life, a family, a community, a city. I know this is true because one person changed the entire world. The same is true of choices. It takes only one choice to change everything. Jesus made one choice, the cross, and look and the consequences of that one choice.

I came to know a Chaplain and saw the work he did. I also felt the call and looked into it. I found I did a lot of these same things already. I’m choosing to make it official to give myself credibility and accountability also. – Linda Ingram, BBI Chaplain

One Last Thought

Being a certified chaplain will have a positive impact on your spiritual growth. Why? Because being a chaplain will challenge you.

It will challenge you because you are dealing with (ministering to) others.
It will challenge your prayer life.
It will challenge your faithfulness.
It will challenge even your relationship with God.
Yes, it will challenge every area of your spiritual life.

It is true, that being a chaplain is not for everyone, but for those who choose to do it the rewards in spiritual growth are indescribable.

So pray about it. Think about it. Talk to your pastor or peers about it, then come join us, the ” brotherhood of Christian Chaplains and riders who love and exalt Christ…”
