My Philosophy of Ministry

By Jeremy Safran

Chaplain ministry is a call from Jesus himself. A call to full fill the Great Commission. A call to Go!

And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. -Mark 16:15

Jesus told his disciples to “follow me.” As we follow Jesus, we are not only to be his hands and feet to everyone, we are called to follow Him.  Jesus was drawn to those in despair, those faced with difficulties, the less fortunate, the imprisoned, those put off by society, the sick, the needy, those put off by religious men, the weak, the broken and the list goes on.

As a chaplain we are following that model, we are here to serve as He served.

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

-Mark 10:45

We are reaching out to the whole world to care, comfort, and bring hope to those in need regardless of the segment of chaplaincy. To model love, joy, peace, goodness, patience, kindness, gentleness and self-control. Being the difference in a time of need and crisis. Sharing and Shining the light of our Lord Jesus for all to see.

Go be the difference!
