Next Steps
By Miz Carla
Many are called few are chosen. I always thought that it was God choosing us, but we must also choose to answer His call. We must choose to say yes. Yes during the process of training and the equipping, it is a moment by moment yes by yes, step by step, and sometimes inch by inch during the circumstances, testings, trials and war. We say yes to the pruning and the fire It is a choice and we have to choose if we are going to answer His call.
I grew up thinking it was sacregligous to say no to God. Free will didn’t even enter my mind, if God said something you said yes. Experience has taught me that we say no to God all the time, In the small choices we make, the times we choose to sleep in verses getting up to spend time with Him, the times we postpone Bible study. Thank God we can always turn back towards Him In repentance.
I have always been aware of the call on my life, I just didn’t have a clue what it was, I guess it was a need to know basis that has been slowly revealed a little at a time. Which was really good cause if God revealed it all at once I would probably gotten scared and ran away.
Now that I have said YES to God. What is next? I have read the book, watched the videos, did the research and here I am writing my paper on the next steps. Feeling woefully inadequate and realizing that I will not be able to do what He has called me to do without Him.
I have also realized that the time for looking inward is over. Another yes, to be willing to see beyond self, to see the real world. To trust God in those situations that stretch me, and make me uncomfortable. I believe that God desires to bring my unique giftings to the biker community. Although I am not limiting God to others areas.
My next steps are to have a period of prayer and fasting to obtain vision for the nexts steps. I desire to take advantage of the training that BBI offers. I feel that it will help me to develop the different gifts that God has given me. I endevor to step into every opportunity that God presents to me.
I am currently engaging with Holy Spirit on the many opportunities there are such as: professional training, seminary, mentorship, and biker protocol classes. Some of these things have been put in place already because of the wonderful people of BBI willing to speak on their experience and answer the questions I have. I’m definitely looking forward to biker protocol lessons.
I feel that God has plans for the biker community and it reminds me of Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. I am so grateful and honored that I have been given the opportunity to be a part of His plans.
