The theology of Job and his contemporaries in the book begins with the understanding of the retribution principle as a complete theology of God’s motives towards mankind. As the book progresses, Job’s understanding of God’s motives is changed as he suffers through the pain and agony of incredible loss.
I admit to a certain perverse delight when someone gets what’s coming to him. Oh, I know I shouldn’t but sometimes it happens. Maybe to you too.
If I am going to reach out into the community to help those in need there needs to be some proof that I am qualified to do the job I am setting out to do. The certification from Bikers Bible Institute is that proof.
Let me begin my next step by saying that I strongly believe that according to scripture in Proverbs 16:3 that I must fully commit to God for my ministry to others in all I do for it is God that will establish my plans
The Christian life springs from our grateful response to what God is doing for us, in us, and through us in Jesus Christ
As a case manager, it is my job to find resources for the person I am working with to meet their goals; as a Chaplain, I am providing spiritual resources to those in need. I can see how having both skill sets can be used in many capacities.
As I look at this verse, and I ponder the evil deeds I’ve done in my life, I I shrink back and fret. Then I remember that there was a day when the ‘god man’ suffered and died in my place, and fulfilled a new covenant.
It is hard to accept it as it is and nothing else, no what if’s or what about ………. The Bible is God’s word to us, the guidance, direction, everything he had to say then applies now. It’s not outdated, God does not change, people change that’s the problem.
It is my personal belief that God allows us to go through hardships in life in order to continue to perfect us for His glory. I have had many hardships over the years; I am far from perfect though.
