Hebrews 2: 14-16 “Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham.”
Joan Osborne wrote a song and Prince sang it in 1996:
What if God was one of us?
If God had a name what would it be?

What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin’ to make his way home?
Well dear disillusioned seeker, HE BECAME one of us.
Why?

2. To bear witness to the truth (Jn. 18:37)
3. To bring light to the darkness (Jn. 12:46)
4. To bring true judgment (Jn. 9:39)
5. To bring abundant life (Jn. 10:10).
AND to destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Have you been released from that bondage? Are you trusting in the one who came down and became human so that we might become heirs of God?
Maybe now is the time. If he is calling, just say YES.
You ponder that
