Listening To God

We are living in a day and age that most people only think of themselves. However, I believe that God still speaks to us in a small voice and sometimes in a very loud comment.

2nd Timothy 3:1-5 New International Version (NIV)

1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,4 treacherous,rash, conceited,lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

Riding down the road on your machine minding your own business without a care in the world. A dude with no respect or due regard pulls out in front of you, leaving you with little space to stop.

Here is where all the thoughts start running a rampage through your mind. The human carnality of want to put a foot on his throat. You see we have wives, grandchildren depending on up.

He’s a jerk right?? Well in the moment of all the things going through your head God says you in a voice so strong PRAY for him. Pray for him ?? But look at what he did, you don’t understand.

God says I absolutely understand PRAY for him. You see we don’t know what’s causing his behavior But I do pray. If we are what we claim to be, pray for your enemies.

Matthew 5:43-48

Love for Enemies

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

This very thing happened to me.
