2 Timothy 11-13 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
There are several conditions here and their resulting conclusions

Condition One:

“If we died with him”
Romans 6 tells us that we were crucified and buried with Christ and raised to walk in newness of life. The Conclusion here is exactly that, If we died we shall also live. Dead indeed but raised to walk in the newness of life.

Condition Two:

If we endure…we shall also reign. Jesus says if we suffer with him…here we see that we need to endure hardship in trust knowing that there is a day of reward coming.
Note if we deny him, disown him, or never receive his free gift HE will deny us too.
But if we are faithless HE still is faithful.

All of this is saying that we can trust the faithfulness of God to do all he says. God is faithful to love and care for his people and those who immerse themselves in him and his love will enjoy the glory later.

Are you running a race to win?

Are you enduring to reign?

You ponder that.
