My Philosophy Of Ministry
By Willie Huddleston
There is a lot that I can say about my philosophy on ministry when I first started back in the early 90s.
As a kid, I grew up in a biker church. Being a kid at the age of 5 getting up on Sunday mornings with my dad, going outside to start up his trike with him, going to church with my siblings, and listening to our pastor preach, and the worship music at that age I didn’t really know what it was all about. But growing up I got to know God more.
I have been with 2 motorcycle ministry’s and 2 motorcycle clubs over the years, and I have learned a lot from my experiences.
My philosophy of ministry is that there are a lot of ways to minister to people, whether it’s through song, writing, or talking. You can read the bible to someone, or quote the bible to someone who may be having a bad day or really needs to hear what you have to say. That’s not a conversation, that’s God’s work in real life. Over the past 2 years, I have been a part of my local church, the one that I grew up in as a child. I have had the experience of bringing my kids to the same church I grew up in.
My philosophy of ministry is that ministry comes in all sorts of ways. One person could have the gift to talk to others like I do, and another person might have the gift to sing music or to cook for someone in need. God has so many ways he works with people that you never know what you might come across. God is always helping you or helping someone else. That’s why I joined my local motorcycle ministry, and why I want to one day become a pastor. As a pastor, I can teach His word and spread His word across the world one day just like my father did.
Great testimony Willie!
